What's On The Nature Table?
What is a nature table? In it’s simplicity, its a place to put things found outside. It’s a surface dedicated to any natural item that peaks the interest of a child or yourself. By dedicating a spot for these treasures, it says... you are valuable, you are important, what can we find out about you?
It gives us something to ponder and brings peace to our day. It slows us down and causes us to notice. Liberty Hyde Bailey said nature study "opens the pupil's mind by direct observation to a knowledge and love of the common things and experiences in the child's life and environment."
